Group workshops

A gathering space to meet, think, feel, and reconnect with yourself and the world around. These workshops invite you into a creative flow where meaning meets imagination, possibility, and limitless self-expression. No prior experience needed.

Our workshops are facilitated by registered arts therapist Amanda Ng, a Healesville local passionate about bringing people together in ways that feel most alive. She also occasionally presents community talks and info sessions in the Yarra Valley. Check this page to see what’s coming up.

FAQS

  • In-person workshops are held at various locations in Healesville. Please see the workshop description for location details.

    Online workshops are delivered via Microsoft Teams and streamed live to allow participants to attend from anywhere in Australia and across the world. Workshops are facilitated in AEST/AEDT timezones.

  • We facilitate small to medium group workshops anywhere between 12 to 30 people depending on the venue, workshop theme, and delivery mode.

  • Attending in person? All materials are included for the creative component of our workshops, but you’re also welcome to bring your own if there are specific materials you’d like to create with on the day. Some workshops may also ask participants to bring an item from home, so it’s best to check the event description for any details about what to bring.

    Attending online? Here’s a quick checklist of what you’ll likely need:

    • A quiet and comfortable space where you can talk and create freely;

    • Stable internet connection and a charged device (e.g., laptop, tablet) to access the workshop link; and

    • If relevant, art materials you’d like to work with or have on hand (e.g., paper, pastels, paints), and any other specific items listed in the workshop description.

  • Our workshops offer creative experiences and educational tools that can facilitate personal growth and development, but they are not in and of themselves therapy as they do not provide individualised mental health support.

    Our workshops require participants to be able to look after their own mental health and wellbeing, and to be mindful of others when sharing personal experiences.

    If you are looking to address mental health concerns relating to your individual circumstance, we encourage you to consider Individual Art Therapy or consult with a qualified mental health professional.

  • Yes please! We want to create experiences that are meaningful to you and our community. If you have any feedback, ideas, or suggestions – let us know! We’re all ears.
